The four kinds of order

A market order buys now at whatever the price is. A limit order waits until the price reaches yours and may never fill. A stop loss sells automatically if it falls to a level you set. Note that the DSE itself has no stop loss — brokers provide it, it lasts one day, and in a fast fall it can miss.
